Every patient who submits an eConsult request can fill out an optional survey about the service a week later.

Last month 9 patients shared their feedback about using the eConsult service at Doctors Surgery Colney Hatch Lane. You can find a summary of their responses below.

Were your patients satisfied with eConsult?

  • 44% - patients who were satisfied with the service

  • 44% - patients who would recommend the eConsult service to family and friends

What were your patients' care outcomes after using eConsult?

  • 67% - patients who said their issue was completely resolved seven days after using the service

  • 89% - patients who did NOT have to contact the GP practice or any other health service for the same problem in the week after consulting online

Did patients say they were contacted in time?

  • 78% - patients who said they were contacted by the stated response time

How did patients hear about eConsult?

  • 44% - Someone else from the GP practice told me about it

  • 11% - Other - Write In

  • 33% - From the GP practice website

  • 11% - Another patient, family member or friend told me about it

Patient satisfaction: comments

We ask patients to explain why they were or weren't happy with using the eConsult
service. Some of their responses are below. You can find all the comments in
the attached report.

"It saves time, yet it still is personalised help. "

"It seems that there is no choice about any of this, but it worked this time, although I have not yet picked up the blood test form."

"The online form although long to complete did allow you to give the doctor a full account of the problem. I was also pleased with the updates and the phone call itself."

"Received my own medical info in email. Very worrying. Received text message again with med info. No privacy protected. Not being able to have phone consultation is awful. The whole system is time consuming unsafe and awful. "
